Fire Leaves Family Homeless in Tamsang Yangfo Village; YWS Provides ₹1.5 Lakh Financial Aid

A fire incident gutted a traditional house belonging to Tukik Yangfo in Tamsang Yangfo village, Chayangtajo constituency, East Kameng district, on Sunday at 6:30 pm.
The Yangfo family suffered immense loss, with all their belongings, including precious local ornaments were consumed by the flames.
This unfortunate incident also claimed the lives of domestic animals, including cattle, Mithun, pigs, and goats.
The Yangfo Welfare Society, led by Chairman Honipa Sono Yangfo, came forward to provide financial assistance and relief items to the fire victim’s family.
A total amount of ₹1,50,000 was provided to the victim by YWS. Out of this, ₹35,000 was collected by its women’s wing unit and ₹15,000 by its youth wing through collective donations from the members of the society and well-wishers.
Interacting with the victim, the chairman emphasized the importance of preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
“We, the Yangfo Welfare Society, express gratitude to the local MLA and ADC of East Kameng district who came forward and provided some assistance to the grieved family. We also thank all the contributors who helped in this time of need with such a noble gesture. Our society will work for one and all in their time of need, according to our capacity,” Honipa stated.
MLA of Chayangtajo cum Advisor to Minister Water Resources, Hayeng Mangfi, also donated 60 pieces of CGI sheets.
