Spear Corps Organise Badminton C’ship in Tuting to Celebrate National Sports Day

To commemorate National Sports Day, Spear Corps hosted an Inter-School Badminton Championship for school students of Vibrant Village Tuting, Upper Siang district.
The event aimed to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness among the youth of Border Villages. Students aged 8 to 16 years, from three prominent schools of Tuting—Government Town Secondary School, Government Higher Secondary School, and PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya—enthusiastically participated in the championship.
The matches were conducted on a league basis. Government Higher Secondary School won the Badminton Championship.
The presentation ceremony was graced by Army Officers and the ADC, Tuting, who distributed prizes and medals to the winners and the Championship Trophy.
The event demonstrated the Indian Army’s commitment to fostering sports development, promoting community engagement, and encouraging a healthy lifestyle among youth.
“On the occasion of National Sports Day, we are thrilled to have hosted this championship, providing a platform for the talented students of Tuting to shine. We look forward to continued collaboration with the schools and nurturing a sporting spirit in the region,” a senior Officer from the Army said.
Spear Corps extended its heartfelt appreciation to the participating schools, students, and parents for their enthusiastic support, making the event a success.
