Education is the stepping stone to a holistic growth in life. Project Digi Kaksha is one of its kind, an integrated learning centre was conceptualized in the backdrop of poor CBSE results for year 2024 with pass percentage 22.4%.
Lack of foundational literacy and numeracy skills, high drop rates, teachers absenteeism, challenging terrain and infrastructuredeficit and lack of motivation amongst students are the main factors inhibiting their growth.
So, with the aim to motivate the teachers to adopt better activity based teaching advancement pedagogy and create a latest technological environment for students ,the district administration under deputy commissioner Vishaka Yadav, IAS pushed forth the project.
In this era of technological advancement , it is pertinent that the far flung districts especially the international border ones get the access to the latest learning styles at par with the metro cities .
The project imbibes a colorful state of the art and infrastructure with the motto “learn “ based on BALA model(building as learning Aid). With the latest facilities available, teachers and students both will be thrilled to learn more as compared to the earlier challenging environment.
With support from the MLA Pani Taram, the initiative was a social one wherein the different officers contributed resources for its execution, so as to create a feeling of collective ownership .The courses and content was especially curetted for students of every class to have a creative fun filled learning environment which they enjoy rather than rote learning.
This is a pilot project with the aim to create a model school of learning, similar projects shall be replicated in other circles too in the near future. The admin officers along with SDMC School being part shall take collective ownership for the maintenance of such projects.
The project is one of its kind in the border districts of Kurung Kumey and in the state of Arunachal Pradesh with a holistic digital learning pavilion for the overall development of students.
