Fraudster Evading Arrest for Years Apprehended
ITANAGAR I December I 1 :
A fraudster who had been on the run since 2021, evading police arrest on multiple occasions, was arrested by Capital Police in collaboration with Leparada Police.
On November 29, a police team from Basar PS Leparada, led by SI Moli Kamdak, arrived at Itanagar PS in connection with Basar PS case 23/2021 u/s 417/420 IPC and requested local police assistance in arresting a fraudster named Anar Uddin, a resident of Sonapur, Bihpuria, Lakhimpur District, Assam.
Further intelligence had pinned down the accused’s location at Itanagar.
Accordingly, SI Samuel Ngupok, SI Padam Padi, and CT. Pranjal Medhi were tasked with helping in apprehending the accused as directed by SP Itanagar under the constant supervision of SDPO Itanagar.
The team apprehended the accused from Dokum Colony Itanagar on November 30.
