2nd edition of the lt. Tage Taki Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament begins

The 2nd edition of the late Tage Taki Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament began on December 9 at General Ground in Pangin. 22 teams from Siang and other districts competing in the tournament.

Jacob Tabing, ADC of Pangin, attended as the chief guest, while Tani Taki, ZPM cum President ,Siang District Cricket Association joined as the Guest of Honour.

Special invitees included Tanyong Taloh, President of NBK; Shaini Taki, General Secretary of NBK; and Raja Padung, President, Pangin Bazar Association.

The Chief Guest, ADC Jacob Tabing, underscored the vital role of sports in society, not only as a potential career path but also as a powerful tool to instill discipline in the lives of young people.

The Guest of Honor, Tani Taki, enlightened about affiliating the cricket tournament with the Arunachal Pradesh Cricket Association in Siang District, which he believes would give exposure to young talents from the district.

In his welcome address, Tajing Taki, Patron of the tournament, told that the event is organized in memory of his father, Lt. Tage Taki, and has now reached its second edition. He noted that the tournament is a Taki family initiative aimed at providing budding cricketers with exposure and a platform.

Meanwhile, Boleng Cricket Club defeated KP XI in the inaugural match.
