Ruksin Police Apprehend Suspected Drug Peddler with 11.1 Grams of Heroin
Ruksin I December I 22 :
Ruksin Police have apprehended a drug peddler identified as Mishra Nath Padun (28) and seized 11.1 grams of suspected heroin.
Padun, a resident of Batua village in Dhemaji district of Assam, was nabbed from Ruksin.
Earlier on December 20, Ruksin police received information from reliable sources that an Eon car with registration No. AS 01HC 3329 was carrying suspected drugs and was going to deliver them near AGAM petrol pump in Ruksin.
Accordingly, a police team was formed, led by SI Igel Lollen, OC PS Ruksin, and SI Yike Lomri, OC PS Sille-Oyan, along with HC A.K. Doley, Ct. Robin Kopok, and Ct. Katin Mingki, under the supervision of SP East Siang Pankaj Lamba (IPS) and Talem Taggu (APPS), SDPO Ruksin.
The suspected drug peddler was searched in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and found to be in possession of suspected heroin (orange-white in color) weighing 11.1 grams (soap case).
Accordingly, a case vide RKN PS case No. 15/2024 U/s 21(b) NDPS Act has been registered.
“East Siang Police remains committed to taking the strongest action against drug peddlers,” Ruksin police stated in a press release.
They also requested the general public to share information on drug peddlers or drug users without any hesitation with the nearest police station.
