ABKYW hands over ₹6.9 Lakhs collected through donation camp to Kerang fire victims.
ITANAGAR I June I 16 :
A team from the Adi Banne Kebang Youth Wing (ABKYW) visited Kerang Village in Siang District on Sunday to distribute relief funds collected through a voluntary donation drive organised to support fire victims of Kerang and Gaseng Village.
The drive, conducted across six districts, raised a total of ₹6,92,283. Sika Bamin Sirum Anggong also donated ₹40,130.
Each of the 14 families whose houses burnt down received ₹36,436, and the owners of 10 granaries received ₹18,218 each.
The ABKYW team distributed the funds equally among the nine families that lost their homes and granaries in the unfortunate fire in both Kerang and Gaseng Village.
The ABKYW team, led by President Oki Dai, included other executive members and senior Adi community leaders.
The devastating fire left nine families homeless and destroyed nine granaries.
