Balijan Police Apprehend Minor Abductor Lalit Tisso after Intensive Manhunt

Lalit Tisso, aged 34, who was the main suspect in an alleged abduction case of a minor in June, was apprehended by Balijan Police following an extensive surveillance and search operation.
A complaint of abduction had been lodged in June 2024, under Section 363 of the IPC at Balijan Police Station, stating that a minor girl had been abducted by a suspect.
The accused was apprehended in Assam, and the victim was successfully rescued.
The police team, led by ASI Jikke Tachang and including IRBn personnel HC N Talley, Ct. T Riram, Ct. B Tachak, and Ct. R Teron under the supervision of OC, L/Inps. Millo Sumpi, conducted the successful rescue operation.
The accused hails from Bihumari, Biswanath, Assam. The operation was carried out under the close supervision of DySP Radhe Obing, APPS, SDPO, and the overall supervision of Taru Gusar, IPS, SP, Papumpare(R).
