Pasighat Police Solve Power Tiller Tire Theft Case, 1 habitual offender held

Pasighat Police have successfully apprehended a notorious habitual offender, identified as Tatong Gammeng, for the theft of two tyre from a Kubota power tiller.
On September 9, a written complaint was received from Takor Tatik of Sille Village stating that on September 8,unknown miscreants had stolen two tyres from his power tiller (Kubota) parked at his paddy field house located in the Gulai Kheti area, Sille
A case was registered under section SOY PS C/No. 10/24 U/S 303(2) BNS.
Under the supervision of Dr. Sachin Kumar Singhal, SP East Siang, a team was formed to investigate the matter. The team included Ayup Boko, SDPO, Ruksin; SI Yike Lomri, OC, Sille-Oyan; CT Katin Mingki; and Ct Raju Muang.
After persistent efforts, the police revived a crucial tip-off. A source informed them about a person seen loitering in the Oyan market area, attempting to sell two power tiller tires. Acting swiftly, the team apprehended the suspect, who turned out to be Tatong Gammeng.
Gammeng, a resident of Rani village, has a notorious history for criminal activities with several cases registered against him in the East Siang district, police said in a Press Release.
Upon interrogation, he led the police to the location where the stolen tyres were hidden near a scrap yard shop in Oyan.
The recovered items have been returned to the owner, and the accused has been sent to judicial custody.
