Dambuk I December I 14 :

The 2nd leg of the JK Tyre Orange 4×4 Fury unfolded in the picturesque town of Dambuk, Arunachal Pradesh, amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the Orange Festival of Adventure and Music.

This annual off-roading event, now in its 8th edition, is a thrilling spectacle that showcases the resilience and skill of off-road drivers as they navigate challenging terrains. Organized by the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and supported by the major tyre company JK Tyre, the event attracts participants and spectators from far and wide.

Day 2 Highlights:
As the sun rose over Dambuk, competitors were eager to tackle the day’s challenges, with the stock category roaring to life. Jawjun Mirip Singpho stormed into the lead on the second day, showcasing remarkable driving prowess and an intimate understanding of the treacherous course. His confidence behind the wheel set him apart, earning him the top spot in the stock category.

Trailing close behind was Naku Hage Chadha, who successfully maintained his position from the first day, demonstrating consistency and strategic driving. In a surprising turn, the day one leader, Nabam Katung, slipped to third place, unable to replicate his earlier success amidst the demanding conditions.

The stage was aptly named SISIRI, and it lived up to its reputation as a formidable adversary, claiming its first victim early in the day. The renowned defending champions, Tseng Tsing Mein and Aditya Mein from Team Mocaa, faced an unexpected setback as they found themselves stranded in the middle of the SISIRI stage due to a technical failure of their rigs. The swift response of the event’s rescue team ensured their safety, but the incident served as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of off-roading.

In the Pro Mod category, Chetan CHENGAPA continued to dominate, being the only competitor to successfully navigate the treacherous SISIRI riverine. His ability to maneuver through the challenging terrain showcased both his skill and the capabilities of his vehicle. However, the harsh conditions led to the stage being cut short, as many participants struggled to complete the demanding course.

The SISIRI stage presented a variety of challenges, including steep inclines, muddy patches, and tricky water crossings. The combination of natural obstacles and the aggressive driving style required made it a true test of man and machine. Many competitors found themselves grappling with mechanical failures, illustrating the inherent risks of off-road racing.
The 2nd leg of the JK Tyre Orange 4×4 Fury was an exhilarating day filled with intense competition, unexpected twists, and remarkable displays of skill. As drivers continue to battle the elements and each other, the event not only highlights the spirit of adventure and camaraderie but also serves as a platform for showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.

Looking forward, the 3rd and final day of the event will see an exciting battle take place in the swamps of Bizari on the 15th of December. All eyes will be on the competitors as they prepare to conquer new challenges and vie for the ultimate victory in this thrilling off-road extravaganza.
