SIC Nabs Another Govt Official in Siang District Education Department Recruitment scam
ITANAGAR I May I 27 :
Nong Paron, another government employee, was arrested by Special Investigation Cell (SIC) in connection with the illegal appointments within the Siang District Education Department.
Paron, a 37-year-old Upper Division Clerk (UDC), works in the office of the Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) in Boleng.
The arrest of Paron was based on a complaint filed by Tajing Saroh, alleging irregularities in the appointment process for Primary Teachers (PRTs) and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) positions.
This arrest follows an earlier case registered on December 20, 2023, with SIC (VIG) PS C/No. 09/2023 under sections 120(B)/420/468/471/409 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
The SIC investigation into the illegal appointment is ongoing, and all facets of the case are being investigated in detail,” SIC stated in a press release.
