Student Leaders from Arunachal Pradesh Participate in National Seminar on “One Nation, One Election”

New Delhi, April 23, 2025 – Student leaders from various districts of Arunachal Pradesh took part in the National Seminar on “One Nation, One Election,” held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Centre in New Delhi. The seminar aimed to explore the transformative vision of synchronizing elections for the Lok Sabha, State Assemblies, and local bodies, with a focus on enhancing democratic efficiency and steering Bharat towards becoming a Viksit Nation (Developed Nation).

The event emphasised the role of youth in shaping India’s democratic future and sought to equip young leaders with authentic information on the concept, its potential benefits, and associated challenges.

Three senior Union Cabinet Ministers—Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports,  Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural Development; and Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education were Present on the occasion . Their engaging addresses inspired the attendees and underscored the significance of electoral reforms, national unity, and participatory democracy.

Representing Arunachal Pradesh with pride were student leaders Tana Jiri, Aido Taram,  Minpi Lollen, Kenu Kayi, Topu Luknu Digbak, Pem Tsedar, Priyang Pumoh, and Nokhpe Pansa. Their participation was guided and coordinated by Porsum and Tame Siyang, whose mentorship played a crucial role in their active involvement.

The seminar marked an important milestone in encouraging youth from Arunachal Pradesh to engage in national policy discussions and contribute meaningfully to the country’s democratic and developmental progress.
