Young Man’s Body Found Inside Nallah in Mysterious Condition, Police Suspect Murder

A body of a young Bengali man was found dead under mysterious circumstances under a Nallah close to the Arunodaya School on Thursday. The circumstances surrounding the death suggest a possible case of murder.

Locals, who spoke on condition of anonymity, informed a local media outlet that the deceased worked at a sweetshop in Itanagar.
They suspect another staff member might have been involved in his death following a quarrel . The alleged perpetrator has reportedly fled the state.

Capital Police SDPO Kengo Dirchi who rushed to the spot informed media that they received information about the body this evening and have recovered it from a drain.

“The deceased is a non-APST staff member of a shop. We are investigating the case, and questioning of relevant individuals is underway. The body will be sent for a post-mortem examination, after which a formal case will be registered,” Dirchi said.
